We're a TICA registered, home-based cattery in Brooklyn, New York, dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized Maine Coon, Ragdoll, and Munchkin kittens who become treasured members of their new families.
Our Philosophy
Morty Dom Cattery began with a simple admiration for the beauty, intelligence, and gentle personalities of purebred cats — but the goal was never just to breed kittens. It was to build a cattery centered on health, proper socialization, and responsible breeding, so families could feel confident welcoming a healthy, well-raised kitten into their home.
Every decision we make is centered around the long-term wellbeing of our cats and the happiness of the families who adopt them.
Our kittens are raised indoors as part of our daily family life — in a clean, safe, climate-controlled home where they're exposed to normal household sounds and human interaction from an early age. This helps them grow into confident, affectionate, well-adjusted companions long before they meet their new family.
Socialization begins in the first weeks of life with gentle daily handling, playtime, grooming, and regular interaction with people. Kittens grow familiar with everyday household routines and noises, making the transition to their new home far easier — all while we respect each kitten's individual temperament.
Our breeding cats are DNA tested for breed-specific health conditions, and every kitten receives regular health monitoring throughout development, along with age-appropriate veterinary exams, vaccinations, and routine deworming per our veterinarian's recommendations. Full health records are provided at adoption.
Health, temperament, and quality of life always come first. We carefully select breeding cats with excellent temperaments, and look for families prepared to offer lifelong love, proper veterinary care, and a safe indoor environment. Adoption is a lifelong commitment — and we remain available to support our families long after their kitten comes home.
Morty Dom Cattery is proudly registered with TICA — The International Cat Association. Beyond registration, we follow responsible breeding practices, maintain detailed health records, and prioritize ethical standards over volume.
Behind The Scenes
A glimpse into the everyday world our kittens grow up in — the routines, the play, and the small rituals that shape confident, affectionate companions long before they meet their new families.
Our kittens follow a structured daily routine — fed high-quality kitten food 3–4 times a day, with scheduled nap times and several supervised play sessions throughout. Mornings start with feeding and playtime, followed by rest periods, and evenings bring extra cuddle time and interactive play to strengthen their bond with people ahead of family life.
Kittens enjoy interactive toys, scratching posts, cat trees, and group play with their littermates, alongside one-on-one attention and cuddle time every day — all helping them grow into affectionate, confident, well-socialized companions.
Grooming begins at an early age so kittens grow comfortable being handled — regular brushing, nail trims every few weeks, and occasional baths when needed. Every session is done carefully and positively, so kittens stay calm and cooperative.
Kittens are raised in a clean, safe, enriching environment with plenty of room to explore — cat trees, scratching posts, toys, cozy sleeping areas, and sunny window spots where they can relax and watch the world go by.
